Band Printing of the Glorious Qur’an

The printing unit is one of the most important departments in King Fahd Glorious Qur’an Printing Complex. It is the basis of the work in KFGQPC.

A. Band Printing Department: it relates to the work on paper reels of high and connected lengths. It includes three German-made printers and one of the best printers in the Middle East. It consists of:

1. Part one: Two units for feeding machines with paper.

2. Part Two: Six-color double-sided printing.

3. Part Three: Drying unit to dry inks in high temperature ovens.

4. Part Four: Cooling unit to cool papers after getting out from the drying unit.

5. Part Five: Folding unit to fold the product until 44 pages. 

6. Part six: Assembly stage to assemble the fascicles with each other in the form of packets.

- A system which is deemed the link between the database in the preparation department and the machines. This system is characterized by other tasks and functions.

- A system for measuring the density of the inks according to the required values – a system for matching colors with each other – a system for controlling the folding process and the weight of the paper path.
