  1. KFGQPC Method in Choosing its Publications
KFGQPC Method in Choosing its Publications When choosing, to produce and distribute printed or audio publications, KFGQPC takes into account the Muslims' needs for them and the maximum utilization of its available great potentials.
KFGQPC houses modern equipment and advanced potentials in the field of printing preparations, printing itself, bookbinding and various audits.
Upon preparing the production plan, KFGQPC takes into account the implementing of Royal Orders, the quantities in the warehouses, and diversity of the publications while preserving its safety and printing accuracy.
KFGQPC future plans encompasses working on increasing and varying its production. In addition, it constantly considers new models and ideas of printed and audio publications.

  1. KFGQPC Exclusive Possession of a Multi-Stage Accurate Audit System
The Issuance of al-Madinah al-Nabawiyyah Musḥaf, as well as all various publications, goes through precise stages, in accordance with carefully and accurately prepared guidelines and standards, to preserve the Qur’anic text against any mistakes, and to ensure excellent production and printing. That is why it established one of the most important departments of KFGQPC, i.e. the Quality Management Department, which comprises the following sections:
A. Text Audit.
B. Product Quality.
C. Quality Assurance.
A. Text Audit:
It includes a number of specialists in calligraphy, editing, and Ayahs numbering and pauses. It also includes perfect memorizers of the Book of Allah in various Readings.
The work of this section starts with the first step of the printing stages, and it is distributed to four sections:
  1. Preparation Audit section: Its duty is to ensure image installation accuracy (montage), and the accuracy of the printing plate work (pallets) through monitoring the printing primary experiments (ozalid print).
  2. Primary Copy Audit section: The specialists of this section monitor the copy after installing the printing plates (pallets) on printing machine. During this process, printing machines are paused to ensure the accuracy of the copy, then a report of notes to amend it and permission for printing is submitted.
  3. Text Primary Audit section: The specialists of this section monitor the copy during the first fifteen minutes of the printing process. Then, they monitor a copy each hour to spot any error, such as low quality of a letter, its shape or its dots, or a break in the letter, shape and dots. The printing machine is stopped immediately until this error is fixed.
  4. All employees in this section sign each copy that is reviewed, it should be kept in its designated place, where it can be found when needed, and any note discovered is recorded in registers designated for that reason.
  5. Text Final Audit section: It performs a final review of the copy after printing it, and after being reviewed by the primary Audit section, and in the same manner as the previous section. The copies that are reviewed will be preserved after being signed by the members of the Scholarly Committee for the Review of al-Madinah Musḥaf, to refer to them when needed.
B. Product Quality:
This section is responsible for monitoring the work on production lines, identifying errors, what can be fixed, and what must be destroyed. The work in this section is divided into the following:
  1. the Product Quality Section on the Preparation, Photography, and Printing Plates Works: It monitors these works until the printing stage begins.
  2. Product Quality over Printing Section: The task of this section begins upon the start of printing works; to ensure the safety and quality of publications during printing works, and their conformity with technical specifications and standards, according to specific criteria.
  3. Product Quality over Bookbinding Section: The work of this section begins upon the bookbinding section’s receipt of printed copies. First, this department verifies that the production received from the printing department has fulfilled its formal procedures, such as the presence of the production card on each box sent for bookbinding, and the completion of the production card of all the information requested, the quantity of copies in the box, type of publication, edition number, copy number, as well as the signature of the technician responsible for printing and the technician responsible for the product quality. Only if all of this is fulfilled, the box is allowed to be used in the bookbinding section.
  4. Product quality activities are distributed to bookbinding in the various stages of production in this section, starting with folding printed-paper sheets, or assembling printed copies on band printing machines, starting with assembly to final bookbinding. In the various production stages, the product quality work is focused on bookbinding by monitoring the manufacturing methods and examining the production samples of each stage to ensure that the established production conditions and standards are followed, and that the production at any stage is free from any defects that may affect the following stage, or the quality level of the final production.
  5. Product Quality over Audio Recordings Section: To ensure that all stages of production on CDs have been done according to the technical standards.
  6. Repair and Sorting Section: The task of repair is to correct the noticeable sorted production received from the quantities to be sorted. What can be repaired is sent to the repair section, and the noticeable production that cannot be repaired is destroyed.
  7. Product Quality Inspection for Production Section: To inspect the work of the quality production auditors, by looking at random samples, at different times, to verify that the auditor performs his work according to the specified standards.
C. Quality Assurance for Production:
It is responsible for the important and final stage of review, after the Glorious Book of Allah has been produced in the best form. It includes multiple sections and divisions, such as: receipt and delivery, repair and packaging section, the quality assurance division, and the inspection division. Each of these sections or divisions has multiple tasks.
To further increase the accuracy of the work, and to control the review process, each device in KFGQPC is automatically monitored: the device pauses automatically when an error is discovered. In addition to the technical worker follow-up on the device itself, as he is responsible for any error that occurs due to the device he works on.
Each auditor or inspector in the different production lines has his own designated seal to stamp the work that he monitors, and by means of which he can be identified in case any error is discovered in his work. He is then subject to the penalties regulation set by KFGQPC. KFGQPC, also, allocates bonuses and rewards for each worker who discovers any error in the work.

  1. Selection of Production Materials
In the stages of preparation, printing and bookbinding, KFGQPC uses the best available materials with distinctive qualities. It also uses computers to determine the characteristics of materials, and to follow up on securing, warehousing, using, and auditing them.

  1. Production Capacity of KFGQPC
The production capacity of KFGQPCexceeded more than eighteen million copies of various publications in the first production operational year 1439-1440 AH.
The number of publications produced or under production by KFGQPC increased to about 361 publications, distributed as Complete Musḥafs, Juz' Musḥafs, Translations, audio recordings, books on the Sciences of Qur’an and others.

  1. Distribution of the Publications of KFGQPC
KFGQPC began distributing its publications of Musḥafs, recordings, Juz' Musḥafs, the Yassin Quarter, the last tenth, Translations, and books since (1405 AH), and this is provided to Muslims inside and outside the Kingdom in various parts of the world. The distributed quantities increased to (317) million copies until the year (1440 AH).

  1. An Annual Gift from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Pilgrims
In implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, may Allah preserve and protect him, to provide a copy of the publications of the King Fahd Glorious Qur’an Printing Complex in Madinah to the pilgrims, KFGQPC continues to annually distribute the gift of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to each pilgrim upon leaving the Kingdom, returning with the safety and protection of Allah to his country, after performing the rituals of Hajj with ease and tranquility, enjoying the great facilitations and the enormous capabilities that the Kingdom provided to them. It presents more than (1,800,000) copies of its production to them annually.

  1. KFGQPC visitors
The average number of visitors to KFGQPC annually is more than four hundred thousand visitors from the different countries of the world, who come to see this lofty Islamic edifice, which is one of the grand projects carried out by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to serve Islam and Muslims.
Visitors express their admiration for this lofty Islamic edifice for what they observe of the great care in printing and reviewing the production of KFGQPC, and they are keen to express their thanks to Allah, the Most High, then to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its wise leadership for printing and publishing the Book of Allah with such great care, beside the wide spread of its productions on a global scale.
KFGQPC is keen on explaining to its visitors the various stages of work and criteria thereof in its technical sections, and to inform them of the advanced printing capabilities available in it.
King Fahd Glorious Qur’an Printing Complex, which is the gift of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Muslims everywhere, has become one of the most important landmarks in Madinah, and it is the strongest fort for safeguarding, maintaining and publishing the Book of Allah.
With Allah’s help and guidance, and then with the wise leadership of this country, which Allah has honored with the Two Holy Mosques, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its wise leadership will remain a source of everything that is good for Islam and Muslims. Among these great blessings comes the printing of the Glorious Qur’an, recording it with the best modern technologies and distributing it to Muslims, as well as serving the sciences of the Glorious Qur’an.

  1. KFGQPC and its service to the Community
KFGQPC spares no effort to participate in various local and foreign events, whether through delegates participating in exhibitions, or through the presentation and display of its publications.
For example, KFGQPC participated in exhibitions of national industries and book fairs. In addition, KFGQPC contributed to the annual Jandāriyah Festival by displaying samples of its production at the festival. It also participated in a number of exhibitions and external events.
However, the distinguished service that KFGQPC provides to the Saudi society in particular, and the Islamic community in general, is to provide them with its publication of al-Madinah al-Nabawiyyah Musḥaf at the best quality in terms of printing, revision and accuracy.
By distributing its publications, KFGQPC contributed to serving the community as follows:
  1. presenting the gift of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the pilgrims.
  2. Providing the Two Holy Mosques and the Kingdom’s Mosques with Musḥafs.
  3. Providing the students of the Ministry of Education with Musḥafs.
  4. Awarding the publications of KFGQPC as prizes to the winners of local and international competitions for memorizing and reciting the Glorious Qur’an.
  5. Providing the opportunity for participants in the Glorious Qur’an competitions, the Madinah Award and the events held in Madinah to visit KFGQPC.
  6. Providing the opportunity for some employees of a number of other entities to train in KFGQPC.
  7. Receiving visitors of KFGQPC in large numbers from different countries, and informing them of KFGQPC mission.
  8. Participating in public events.
