“Women’s Safety and Security” Program in the Province of Makkah

Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister Shaikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Ashaikh, the Ministry, represented by its branch in the Province of Makkah, is organizing the “Women’s Safety and Security” program which includes a series of practical lectures delivered by a group of female preachers in various mosques in the province after the Maghrib prayer as from the sixteenth to the twenty-eighth of the current month of Jumada al-Thani within the framework of its programs in the field of intellectual security for females. The program discusses topics of intellectual security that concern the society especially women and aim to familiarize society with the danger of receiving information from unknown sources, charting out destructive ideas, deviant calls, the ways to protect young people intellectually, strengthen national cohesion, inform people of the legitimate rights of Rulers and explain the ways of protection from the calls of discord and delusion. The program is targeting more than ten thousand women in the various regions of the Makkah Province. The program also contains twenty awareness lectures and scholarly symposiums, initiated by the preacher Iman bint Abdulaziz Al-Shalfan with a scholarly lecture entitled: "Illegitimacy of Bloodshed" at Aisha Al-Kaki Mosque in Jeddah. The events of this program continue in various mosques in the Province. It is worth noting that the “Women’s Safety and Security” program comes within the framework of the programs organized by the Ministry in the various provinces of the Kingdom. The program was launched from the Riyadh region, aims to immunize women, girls and families against misleading ideas and ensure the integrity of thought for members of the society from everything that is contrary either to the teachings of true Islam or the instruction of the state as well as adopting an approach of moderation.
