Rationalization of more than 362 million Riyals

In line with the goals and programs of the the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, the Ministry has committed to rationalizing public spending, achieving financial efficiency in using resources and reducing waste through reviewing the areas of improvement and raising the quality of spending. More than 362 million Saudi Riyals have been rationalized in the budget of 2019 which were used in spending on appropriations, items and other projects such as the maintenance, restoration and fence of mosques, cleanliness thereof and renewal of their furniture and buildings as well as project management systems. The rationalization and spending plan also included the Ministry’s leaving of hired buildings and reduction of spending on other buildings provided that such decisions would not affect the quality of the Ministry’s projects internally or externally. This resulted in saving more than (4) million Saudi Riyals, and reduction of spending on specific buildings from (2) millions to (1.5) millions, as nearly (600) thousand Saudi Riyals were saved. The rationalization and spending plan also included the hired buildings during the Hajj season which the number of hired buildings in the Hajj season of 1439 AH was six buildings for an amount more than (800) thousand Saudi Riyals. In the Hajj season of 1440 AH, the number of hired buildings was only two buildings in return for approximately (260) thousand Saudi Riyals as more than (600) thousand Saudi Riyals were saved as well. These efforts and actions undertaken by the Ministry come within the framework of the keenness, following-up and guidance of His Excellency the Minister Shaikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Ashaikh to keep pace with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision (2030) and achieve the visions and aspirations of the Rulers, may Allah protect them.
