King Fahd Glorious Qur'an Printing Complex in Madinah Holds a Scholarly Seminar Coinciding with the National Day
Yesterday, King Fahd Glorious Qur'an Printing Complex in Madinah held a scholarly seminar entitled: “King Fahd Glorious Qur'an Printing Complex is a model for the care of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the Glorious Qur’an, its sciences and the translation of its meanings.”
This was under the auspices and guidance of the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Da’wah and Guidance, the General Supervisor of KFGQPC, Shaikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Ashaikh, with the participation of the Secretary General of KFGQPC, Shaikh Talal bin Razen Al-Rehaili, and a number of specialists in KFGQPC. This is coinciding with the ninetieth National Day for the Unification of the Kingdom.
The seminar tackled five main themes: Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and the Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, and examples of their distinguished related achievements. In addition, the establishment of this great project by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to serve the Glorious Qur’an and its sciences, the printing of the Musḥaf and the stages in which the Musḥaf goes through to be printed, as well as the scholarly efforts of KFGQPC and works done by the Scholarly units therein. In addition to, the technical aspect in serving the Glorious Qur’an and the achievements of KFGQPC regarding that.
The seminar began with a speech by the Secretary General of KFGQPC, Shaikh Talal Al-Rehaili, in which he spoke about the history of KFGQPC, and the most prominent aspects of the care it has received amid the generous support by the wise leadership represented by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Highness the Crown Prince, Mohammad bin Salman, which contributed to doubling the production of KFGQPC by 100% compared to previous years in all publications and translations of the meanings of the Glorious Qur’an with a higher quality. In addition to harnessing modern technology in serving Glorious Qur’an and its sciences and taking care of translating it into international languages in order to serve all Muslims around the world.
Shaikh Talal Al-Rehaili noted that this seminar coincides with the 90th anniversary of the Kingdom’s National Day in which everyone recalls the Kingdom’s ancient history crowned with offerings to serve Islamic cause in its various fields. Foremost of which is serving the Glorious Qur’an. He extended his thanks and appreciation to the Minister, Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Ashaikh, General Supervisor of KFGQPC for sponsoring this seminar and for his continuous support to all the works and programs of KFGQPC.
The Deputy Secretary General of KFGQPC for Scholarly Affairs, Dr. Moaid bin Musaed Al-Awfi, Dr. Awad bin Ahmad Al-Shehri, Director of Qur’anic Studies and Mr. Ali bin Abdullah Barnawi, Director of the Information Technology Department have attended the seminar. They spoke about the seminar’s topics, reviewing the great efforts made by the Kingdom to serve the Glorious Qur’an and its sciences and the translation of its meanings over decades through the largest printing house known in the Islamic history of this blessed country which harnessed all its capabilities to serve Islam and Muslims all over the world.
The participants of the seminar extended their congratulations coupled with sincere wishes and praise for the wise leadership on the occasion of the 90th National Day for the Unification of the Kingdom by the late founding King, supplicating to Allah Almighty to maintain the Kingdom’s glory, stability and prosperity under the wise leadership and keep the diseases and evil away from it.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Da’wah and Guidance has achieved continuous successes during the past two years by raising the productivity of KFGQPC of various publications from nine million copies to eighteen million copies of higher quality and material cost close to that of the past years. In addition, the Ministry launched the application al-Madinah al-Nabawiyyah Musḥaf on smart devices in two copies and launched a number of the electronic services to serve the Glorious Qur’an.
