His Excellency the Minister: The Wise Leadership has Placed the Interests of the Nation, its Progress and Prosperity, the Health and Security of Citizens at the Forefront of Its Priorities
His Excellency the Minister, Shaikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Ashaikh, affirmed that the the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia proves, year after year, that it is a strong country that has adopted a solid economic policy. His Excellency referred to the items included in the state’s general budget for the current fiscal year 1442/1443 AH, in terms of clear vision, diverse sources of income, and major initiatives in various fields, to make this country rise to the ranks of the greatest countries of the world. This came in a statement from His Excellency on the occasion of approving the general budget for the current fiscal year. He explained that "we in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are blessed, thanks to Allah, with the wise leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the wise King and just Ruler, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may Allah protect him, and His Highness the Crown Prince, Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, may Allah support him with his victory, which leadership was and is still bearing in mind the interests of the nation, its progress and prosperity, the well-being of its people, and the achievement of security and stability of its citizens. His Excellency noted that this year’s budget carries abundant good, through the approved initiatives and projects that aim to establish a vital society and flourishing economy, according to measured steps of the National Transformation Program, stemming from the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, that His Highness the Crown Prince has developed and follows up on its implementation. His Excellency the Minister, Dr. Abdullatif Al Ashaikh, pointed out that everyone acknowledges the prudent financial policy adopted by our wise leadership in working on implementing reforms in various fields, especially in the economic field and restructuring it to achieve balance between maintaining financial sustainability and promoting economic growth and development, as well as supporting the economic transformation stage in accordance with Kingdom’s Vision 2030, while continuing to increase spending efficiency, and keeping to improve the main services provided to citizens in all life fields. In addition, the private sector is empowered and stimulated with a number of huge investment initiatives that amount to 1billions of Riyals, so that it could perform its role efficiently, and contribute actively to achieve the Economic Transformation of the Kingdom, in accordance with the Vision of 2030. His Excellency added that the whole world has suffered and is still suffering from economic, political and social rifts as a result of what was caused by the “novel Corona virus 19” pandemic. However, "we in the Kingdom, thanks to Allah, and then thanks to the wise directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and the tireless follow-up by His Highness the Crown Prince, have exceeded many difficulties that the rest of the world suffered from. In addition, the care of our wise leadership reached the maximum for citizens and residents, which is reflected in the concern for human safety and health. Moreover, the compassionate hands of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques extended to include even violators of the residence system in terms of providing free treatment. The Kingdom has also provided financial support to global health organizations, so they could play their role in combating this dangerous epidemic. Thus, the Kingdom has become a model for preservation of humans and maintaining their safety. His Excellency also said: "The Kingdom took the initiative to obtain the Corona virus vaccine, being one of the first countries in the world that rushed to secure the vaccine for its citizens and residents for free, as a reflection of the keenness and care of our wise leadership to achieve the safety of citizens and residents and preserve their health." At the conclusion of his statement, His Excellency the Minister Ashaikh supplicated to Allah to preserve our dear country, and maintain its glory, welfare, stability, security and faith under the wise leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince, grant them with the best and finest reward, prolong their lives in obeying Allah, and keep them as an asset to the country and citizens.
