His Excellency the Minister Instructed to Leave a Row between Each Two Rows in Prayers, Increase the Number of Mosques and Combat the Spread of Corona Virus

His Excellency the Minister, Shaikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Ashaikh, instructed all the Ministry's branches in the provinces of the Kingdom that Friday Prayer be performed in the Mosques nearest to the Mosques, which might be crowded with worshippers, which are prepared for holding Friday Prayers, after being selected by the Ministry’s branches. His Excellency also directed to leave one row between each two rows in the five daily prayers to prevent the spread of Corona virus. On the other hand, His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif Al Shaikh instructed that tomorrow’s Friday sermon will tackle raising awareness about the measures taken by the competent authorities in this blessed country to combat the spread of the Corona virus (COVID19). These measures are of precautionary nature, aiming to preserve the souls, which is one of the grand objectives of the Islamic Shari’a, and they are amongst the methods that are lawful to be adopted. The Friday sermon will also direct people to what is mentioned in the Prophet’s Sunnah in such cases, warn them against rumors and listening to the them, and that it is necessary to obtain information from official sources.
