His Excellency the Minister Receives the Winner of the Prize of Mohammad VI Competition for Memorizing the Glorious Qur'an Held in Morocco
His Excellency the Minister, Shaikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Ashaikh, received, in his office at the Ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh, yesterday, Monday the fourteenth of Rabi’ Al-Awwal 1441 AH, the contestant Hatem bin Abdullah Riza, the candidate of the Ministry who won the first place in the King Mohammad VI International Competition for the Memorization, Recitation and Interpretation of the Glorious Qur’an, which was recently held in the Kingdom of Morocco. His Excellency, Dr. Abdullatif Al Ashaikh, congratulated the contestant, Hatem Riza, on his success, stressing that these achievements result from the unlimited support by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques the wise King and just Ruler, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Highness the Crown Prince, Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, for the memorizers of the Qur'an, for charitable associations working in the field of the memorization of the Glorious Qur’an, and for those in charge of them. His Excellency indicated that this blessed state, since its foundation by the late King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud, and his righteous sons, until this prosperous era, has taken care of the Book of Allah, as it has established the largest printing house in the world to print the Glorious Qur’an, set up schools and associations for memorizing and teaching the Qur'an, organized competitions and allocated prizes for memorizers. For his part, the contestant, Hatem Riza, considered that winning the first place in this Qur'anic competition is an extension of the unlimited support that the sons and daughters of the country find from the wise leadership, and the diligent observance of the Ministry led by His Excellency the Minister, Shaikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Ashaikh, and all the staff working in the Ministry. Riza dedicated his prize to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, supplicating to Allah to grant him the best reward for his support to Islam and Muslims. He also extended his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Minister, Shaikh Dr. Abdullatif Ashaikh, for motivating his children in the Glorious Qur'an memorization associations in various regions of the Kingdom. It is worth noting that the King Mohammad VI International Competition for the Memorization, Recitation, Tajweed and Interpretation of the Glorious Qur’an was held in the Moroccan capital, Casablanca, during the first and second days of the current month of Rabi’ Al-Awwal, and contestants representing 38 countries participated in the Competition. A number of scholars and specialists from the Kingdom, and from a number of Arab and Islamic countries, participated in arbitration.
