His Excellency the Minister praises the UAE’s General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments establishing of true and tolerant Islamic teachings

His Excellency the Minister, Shaikh Dr. Abdullatif Bin AbdulAziz Al Ashaikh, praised the experiment of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments in the United Arab Emirates and its civilized approach in consolidating the meanings of true religion, its noble values and its tolerant teachings, as well as communicating knowledge to all members of society in a modern way that keeps pace with the renaissance, development and life changes. This took place today during the visit by His Excellency, the Minister and his accompanying delegation to the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments in the Emirates today. They were received by His Excellency, the Chairman of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments in the UAE, Dr Mohammad Matar al Kaabi, and the Director-General of the Authority and a number of its officials. Dr. al Kaabi expressed his sincere thanks to His Excellency, the Minister Shaikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Ashaikh for this visit, which strengthens the bonds of cooperation and coordination between the two parties to serve the religious issue, and to meet the aspirations of the wise leaderships in the two brotherly countries, aiming to show the bright side of Islam. Dr. al Kaabi also confirmed that the Authority regards the Kingdom as an Islamic reference for providing services for mosques and its personnel, and as having great experience in everything that serves Islam. Dr. al Kaabi indicated that the Authority enjoys the great support from his Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan the President of the United Arab Emirates, and his Highness Shaikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai, and his Highness Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and their Highnesses the members of Federal Supreme Council of Emirates, which enabled the Authority to uniquely play its role in the society through a solid strategy and firm constants that enhance the system of creative work by investing energies, encouraging innovations, unifying efforts, benefiting from data, and using the same on a sophisticated basis to provide the best services for the members of the society and achieve its aspirations. Dr. al Kaabi has introduced to His Highness, the Minister, and the accompanying delegation the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments, and its strategy in terms of delivering its message to the society, and benefiting from technical and smart systems to ensure access by all members of society everywhere and at any time. In addition, he has showed the mechanism that the Authority uses in consolidating the noble human values that our religion asserts, and is supported by our wise leadership through enacting laws, launching initiatives and sponsoring events, by means of using all the awareness channels held by the Authority to consolidate affection, tolerance, coexistence and acceptance of the other, and renouncing violence, discrimination, extremism and hatred, and conveying our culture, customs and traditions rooted in generosity and respecting the others. He has also emphasized on the Authority's great interest in this aspect through unification the Friday sermon to keep pace with the changes and needs of the society in terms of knowledge and culture, in addition to the religious lectures delivered by the Authority’s Khatibs in institutions, schools, universities and popular councils in the neighborhoods, and the sessions at mosques delivered by Imams of mosques all over the country, as the Authority has organized several courses for Imams, Khatibs and muftis in order to support the establishing the culture of peace. Dr. al Kaabi also briefed the delegation on the Authority’s interest in mosques, caring about them, upgrading their mission and consolidating their role as the source of Scholarly, civilized and social enlightenment that unites hearts and supports cooperation among members of society. He also reviewed the expansion of establishing centers for the memorization of the Glorious Qur’an and upgrading them in terms of architecture and teaching curriculums, until they became an educational model bearing the Islamic educational prints that keep pace with the development of the educational progress in the country, in addition to the Glorious Qur’an memorization sessions in mosques that attract all members of the expatriate communities, and launching the smart platform that allows all members of society to memorize the Glorious Qur’an through communicating with Memorizers through computers and smart devices, as well as memorizing the Glorious Qur’an with a chain of transmission connected to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH). Moreover, the Authority organizes annually a competition for memorizing the Glorious Qur’an, in which all the male and female memorizers in the country compete. In addition, the two sides have discussed frameworks that support cooperation and enhance the mechanism of communication and integration between them to unify the common visions and goals between the two brotherly countries, and agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding later.
