His Royal Highness the Prince of Madinah Region Visits King Fahd Glorious Qur’an Printing Complex
His Royal Highness, Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Prince of Madinah Region, confirmed that King Fahd Glorious Qur’an Printing Complex is one of the prominent landmarks of Madinah, and it received special care from the late Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz, may Allah have mercy on him. KFGQPC also enjoys the care of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince - may Allah protect them - to be the first printing center in the Islamic world in terms of printing and caring for the Glorious Qur’an.
During his visit to KFGQPC, Prince Faisal praised the wise decision taken by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques that KFGQPC be self-operated by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Da'wah and Guidance, praising the tangible development reflected in KFGQPC, which is a pride for all, by this decision.
His Royal Highness the Prince of Madinah Region, in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Da'wah and Guidance, the General Supervisor of KFGQPC, Shaikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al al-shaikh, listened to an explanation from the Secretary-General of KFGQPC, Shaikh Talal bin Razen Al-Rehaili about the achievements made during the production year 2020-2021 AD, and the projects implemented by KFGQPC, which contributed in raising the productivity of KFGQPC, by being directly operated through the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Da'wah and Guidance. Compared to 9 million copies annually, the productivity of KFGQPC reached 19,504,000 copies of Musḥafs, in this year 2020-2021 AD, in all versions, different sizes and translations despite the Corona pandemic, in addition to launching ten technological qualitative projects.
Then, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz watched a visual presentation of the projects implemented by King Fahd Glorious Qur’an Printing Complex during this year, which included:
Printing the Mosque-sized Musḥaf (3), and three new translations printed for the first time, which are: Kannada, Kurdish in the Kurmanji dialect, and the Langali language, in addition to the production of 6,000 copies of al-Madinah al-Nabawiyyah Musḥaf for the sight-impaired in Braille, the launch of the third version of the application of al-Madinah al-Nabawiyyah Musḥaf with its new features, as well as the project to activate the Cyber Security strategy in KFGQPC, the launch of the first version of the application of al-Madinah al-Nabawiyyah Musḥaf for Computer Publishing, and the virtual tours support project with the tour guide of al-Masjid al-Nabawi and KFGQPC.
His Royal Highness, the Prince of Madinah Region, praised the efforts of all the Saudi national personnel working in KFGQPC and their important role in developing its various publications of the Glorious Book of Allah, and their great works that they present through the quality of direction, font and production, as well as their various contributions in this regard, wishing them success and progress.
For his part, His Excellency the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Da'wah and Guidance, Dr. Abdullatif Al al-shaikh, praised the care of His Royal Highness the Prince of Madinah Region for visiting KFGQPC, following up on its works and supporting its activities and the programs of the Ministry and its sectors in the Region, so that it carries out its mission that is in line with the directives of the wise leadership, may Allah protect them. In addition, he supplicated to Allah the Most High to reward the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the faithful Crown Prince with all what is good for their great deeds and magnificent services to serve the Mosques and their care of the Glorious Qur’an; publishing it to Muslims around the world.
